Geschichte / History

  • 1954 Camillo Krejci founded "C. Krejci Wälzlagerteile aus Kunststoff " in Getzersdorf
  • 1956 Camillo Krejci developed the Polymer Cage to replace the metal housings of anti-friction                  bearings
  • 1958 Considerable effort was needed to convince the metal-using anti-friction bearing                                  industry  of the advantages of a "plastic product" and Volume production started for the                  Steyr- Waelzlagerwerk
  • 1960 Auto Union (today's Audi) confirmed that after 100 000 km, the crankshaft of the DKW                   1000 with four 6206 bearings with polymer cages had proven superior performance than               with metal cages. The convincing result of 5000 crankshafts being converted to polymer                   cages.
  • 1964 Following Steyr, Auto Union and Duerkopp, more major bearing manufacturers                                       recognized the advantages of the "Krejci Cage" and companies such as FAG, Neuweg and                 C. KREJCI were won over as customers.
  • 1966 First Deliveries to Brazil
  • 1968 First application for a patent
  • 1969 Camshaft bearings with polymer cages were used in Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Cars, as                       well  as production cars by Volkswagen, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Opel and Ford.
  • 1971 Extension of our Tooling room
  • 1982 First delivery to Asia and in the former eastern Europe Countries
  • 1991 Camillo Krejci who died unexpectedly at the age of 67. His wife Doris and daughter
Ing. Bettina Krejci continue his life's work.
  • 1996 Extension of the “Moulding” Production
  • 2001 Acquisition of Buchholz & Hüske GmbH, which specialises in producing polymer cages for               needle bearings supplying mostly the anti-friction bearing industry.
  • 2006 Extension of the plant in Getzersdorf
  • 2014 Building the new tool making room
  • 2015 Start to shift  production from  B&H to Austria
